Requirements:
- C or C+E UK Licence
- Up to date CPC Training
- Required to regularly work to tight deadlines which may require additional hours of work at times of pressure
- Flexibility is required during peak periods e.g. Christmas, Easter, etc. and working additional shifts to cover holiday and sickness
- Ability to work to strict deadlines in a time critical environment
- Professional and courteous when communicating with colleagues or customers
- Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and co‐workers
- Professional in appearance
- Must have own transport and full UK driving licence and own transportation to work
Key Accountabilities:
- Providing high standard of customer service and relations to customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with their site rules and regulations at all times
- To accurately complete all documentation required by the company and the customer
- Ensuring all Company rules, regulations and compliance with legislation is achieved at all times
- To strive to ensure the punctual collection and delivery of all loads within the customers requirements
- Ensuring the safety of the vehicle and its load at all times whilst on duty and reporting any defects to the traffic office/workshop as soon as identified
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of the vehicle, using lifting equipment where authorised and trained to do so
- To maintain trailer hygiene to standards set by our customers including sweeping out trailers as and when required or instructed
- Manage our customers’ expectations on site and have control of the inter site trailer movements
- Liaise with the customer and other drivers to ensure the operation runs smoothly
- This list is not exhaustive and the job holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the position as required
Communication
- Contact internal customers to resolve any queries or problem that may arise
- Responding to and dealing with customer communications by telephone and in person
Teamwork
- Encouraging teamwork within the workplace by displaying the correct behaviours towards all members of the Knowles Logistics Ltd teams
