Job Title: Building Repair Supervisor
Location: Stevenage, SG1 4QX.
Salary: Competitive
Job type: 45 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Full-time, Permanent.

The Role:
To supervise repair works to buildings that have suffered damage, predominantly within the insurance sector. This job role involves organising the works and maintaining good communication with customers. It will involve working closely with different Contract teams to ensure projects are completed to the required standard and within budget. Ongoing guidance will be provided by the Senior Works Manager.
Working towards a Works Manager role, which would involve full management of repair works and growing a work team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure works carried out as per the work plan (set by Contract Manager)
- Assist the Contract Manager with the work plan if required
- Organise the labour, materials and plant
- Brief operatives on works prior to works commencing
- Ensure the Contract Manager is regularly updated with progress
- Carry out regular site inspection reports, including production of annotated
- photographs
- Liaise with occupant of property whilst works are in progress
- Ensure the works are carried out safely
- Ensure works are carried out economically
- Ensure site file is kept up to date and returned to Contract Support following completion of works
- Authorise timesheets and sub-contractor invoices
- Carry out regular tool box talks and site inspections
Knowledge and Experience:
- Sound knowledge of building processes and requirements
- Leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills both internally and with external clients/customers
- Good verbal comprehension and written communication skills
- Health and Safety knowledge relating to safe site practices
