Job Title: Work Placement Coordinator
Location: Wigan
Salary: (£21,509 – £25,894 pro rata, per annum) – 9-15 of the Sixth Form College Support Staff Pay Scale.
Job type: Full Year, Monday – Friday 08.30am – 4.30pm. 36.25 hours per week.

The Role:
The aim of the post is to have responsibility for supporting students who undertake full-time vocational and technical study programmes to participate in high quality work placements. These industry work placements enable students to develop practical and technical skills, substantive occupational work experience and an awareness of working life in the sector which links to their programme of study.
The job role will support students’ preparation for industry placements, securing of placements with employers and monitoring of skills development while on placement. The College has an outstanding track record in the delivery of vocational qualifications and many students on large vocational courses undertake a successful high quality work placement experience.
In addition to these established qualifications, the College will begin delivery of T Levels and a Level 2 T Level Transition Programme in September 2022. Students on both T Levels and the Transition Programme will require access to high quality work placements.
The post will require you to operate in-line with key vocational and technical programmes offered by the College to meet specification placement hour requirements and contractual targets agreed with the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) under its Capacity and Delivery Funding contract for building placement capacity for T-Level delivery.
