Hours: 6 hours per night from 17:00 – 12 midnight (flexible) Monday – Friday and every alternate Saturday

As such we are looking for a passionate Welfare and Security Officer to join us.
About The Role:
This is an out of hours’ service that supports clients to maintain their licence and prevent any breaches that may result in putting other clients at risk and in addition, to manage any display of anti-social behaviour that may affect neighbouring properties or cause harm to property. Company policies and procedures will be adhered to at all times to ensure the safeguarding of the clients engaged in the programme.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be available during the hours of your contract to provide an out of hours service
- To ensure that you have familiarised yourself with the licence conditions and the expectations of the service
- Ensure that you conduct yourself in accordance with accepted codes of conduct
- You will be conducting lone visits, and therefore you should familiarise yourself with any working practices in place to safeguard you while lone working
- Carry out Welfare and Security checks and spot checks between 5 pm – 12 midnight to ensure the clients’ health and wellbeing are being maintained and that they are complying with their licence agreements
- Support clients to adhere to the terms of their Licence, ensuring that prohibited items are not bought into the properties
- Conduct additional house visits as required and instructed by the management team. (which may be outside of your usual hours)
- Be responsible for the emergency out of hours telephone and to assess calls to this line accordingly – prioritising emergencies
- Accompany the on call team members to emergencies during out of hours (which may be outside of your usual hours)
- Keep accurate records both manually and electronically of all contact with clients and house visits, including any incidents that may cause a risk to the health and safety, including safeguarding of clients, staff or other visitors
- Provide daily reports to your line manager
- Record and report incidents to your line manager as soon as possible
Mandatory Requirement:
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle essential
You will also be expected to:
- Attend staff meetings on a monthly basis or as requested
- Attend training sessions as required and instructed by your line manager
- Attend regular one to one supervision meetings with your line manager
- Report any faults with the phone used for out of hour calls immediately
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
- Not bring the company name into ill repute at any time
