We are looking to supercharge our marketing team! This newly created role will give you the exciting opportunity to work as part of an expanding growth-minded team responsible for multiple eCommerce and B2B service websites.
Our brands focus on providing high-technology high-benefit products and services to the life science and industrial sectors. We are a global company, with offices located in the UK, US and Hong Kong. You will be based in the stunning New Forest on the south coast of the UK, within commutable distance of three major cities, Bournemouth, Salisbury and Southampton.
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Website Developer with a broad development skillset to join our team and take ownership of our website user experience, marketing automations, online sales process and ongoing engagement.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for the development and continued improvement of our websites, including UX, navigation, site search, site speed, mobile experience, and security
- Creating and maintaining an ongoing project roadmap for the web, partnering closely with key stakeholders
- Developing and executing enhancements on our websites on the Magento and WordPress platforms
- Developing and executing strategic site merchandising that drives conversion rate.
- Driving continued improvement through A/B testing
- Performing cross-browser compatibility tests and iterate to work through bugs, collaborating with marketing team to bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation in order to complete projects, websites, platforms and other web experiences
- Work with the wider team on development and hands-on execution of automated email marketing programs in various email systems, including HubSpot
- Monitor, analyse and report on website performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance
About you:
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, enthusiastic about creating excellent customer experiences and ultimately increasing sales/leads, with a proven record in effectively optimizing eCommerce and lead generation website performance.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- 3-5+ years’ experience of demonstrated website development in an eCommerce environment
- Hands on and up-to-date experience with modern web applications, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP and MySQL
- In depth understanding of WordPress site development and Magento core software and its functions at the code level. Magento certification would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience with marketing automation tools and integration (HubSpot experience an advantage)
- Demonstrated understanding of lifecycle marketing strategy, execution, and optimization, in data-driven, customer-centric environments
- Experience working with Google Analytics and Google Data Studio
- A strong communicator, determined problem solver, and creative strategist with a focus on the details
- Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders

We offer a fun and collaborative work environment and offer a salary range of up to £40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. You will have a starting entitlement of 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing each year to a maximum of 28 days plus bank holidays as well as being able to take a one month paid sabbatical every six years.
