Role Info
As more of our customers use digital media, the City of York Council are looking for a Website Configuration Officer, to join our small but far-reaching Web Services Team and undertake aspects of PHP coding and development.

The Ideal Candidate
- 1 year experience developing custom business processes and system integrations.
- Robust skills in PHP (knowledge of Symfony framework, Twig, MySQL is also required, along with an understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript).
- Able to work within our existing software and content management systems
- A good knowledge of web services and version control, ideally with a sound understanding of W3C standards.
- The ability to express complex ideas concisely and in a way that is understandable for people of all abilities.
- Strong configuration skills able to make positive decisions, based on technical knowledge, and awareness of data processing and integrations.
- Have an understanding and appreciation of the benefits of using content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM), master data management (MDM), and geographical information systems (GIS).
This role will be based both at home and at the West offices.
