Job Title: Washer / General Hand – Suit Kitchen Porter
Location: Dorking, Surrey, UK
Salary: £8 – £9.50 per hour
Job type: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Day shift – Part time and flexible hours considered
Carville is a well-established manufacturer and renowned experts in machining, bonding and finishing engineering grade plastics, especially Acrylic. They supply global, blue-chip customers in industries including life sciences, medical devices and industrial applications with solutions including fluidic manifolds and optical components.
About the role:
We are looking for a Washer and General hand to join our team with key tasks in some or all of the following areas:
- Washing and cleaning plastic components
- De-burring parts
- Careful packing of parts and relevant paperwork
- General plastics material handling
About you:
The position is suitable for someone who is very thorough, has a good eye for detail, good with their hands and dependable. You will be following clear instructions and work in a clean and tidy manner. Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter/washer or a similar roll in a manufacturing environment would be ideal but not essential.
You need to work well as part of a team, managing your own work-load whilst coordinating with your team and supervisor. There is also scope to progress within the company and take on other tasks and responsibilities in time. Training will be provided.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Some experience in a manufacturing/production or kitchen type environment
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow defined processes and procedures.
- Manual, hands on, practical approach.
- Positive, problem solving attitude
Nice to have Experience:
- Washing parts, plates or components
- Working with plastics
- Manual handling, moving stock
- Assembly work
