About the role:
Due to our on-going commitment to expanding our product portfolio which is central to accelerating our growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader to become part of our highly motivated Operations Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and working within a small team to ensure all aspects of day to day warehouse operations run smoothly within a food grade, manufacturing environment and all products are despatched on time. Having previous experience in managing the warehouse function is essential along with the ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately, carry out warehouse activities, and getting things done within a fast-paced environment in a calm, focused and safe way.
Key Duties:
- Lead and manage all warehouse activities to ensure on-time despatch
- Packaging of liquid and powder blended products for despatch
- Ensure finalised product packaging and labelling is compliant with customer requirements in accordance with work instructions
- Loading and unloading of goods
- Manage goods received and booking in raw materials
- Stock maintenance and accuracy
- Packaging of samples
- Ensure all documentation transactions are completed accurately
- Oversee housekeeping activities for warehouse and grounds to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Encourage a helpful and willing team environment
- Identifying continuous improvement activities and implementing successful changes within the warehouse
- Perform other warehousing activities as required
- Work in accordance with Food safety, GMP, Quality Management system
- Carry out the responsibilities stated in the Managing Director’s Health & Safety Policy, in particular those detailed in paragraph 8d of the Management Directive
- Be conversant with and adopt the procedures stated in the Environmental Management System (EMS) Manual and it’s supporting documents
About you:
You will have a fork lift truck licence (counter balance), a minimum of 2 GCSE’s Grades A-C including Maths & English OR equivalent OR NVQ (L3) in Process or Manufacturing Operations or similar.
