Biocatalysts develop and manufacture speciality enzymes from small to large scale quantities for a variety of industries such as food, flavor, fragrance, life science, pharma and fine chemicals. We are the only company offering a rapid, low-cost speciality enzyme service from discovery phase through to global shipment of regulatory compliant enzymes.
The role:
We have a new opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader to lead and manage our warehouse operations and become part of our highly motivated Operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and working within a small team to ensure all aspects of day-to-day warehouse operations run smoothly within a food grade, manufacturing environment and all products are despatched on time. Having previous experience in managing people and the warehouse function is essential along with the ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately, carry out warehouse activities, and get things done within a fast-paced environment in a calm, focused and safe way.

Qualifications/Education/Training:
- 2 GCSE’s Grades A-C including Maths & English OR equivalent OR NVQ (L3) in Process or Manufacturing Operations or similar
- Fork lift (counter balance) training certificate
- Working at height
Experience:
- Leading and managing day to day warehouse operations
- Leading and managing a small team
- Fork lift (counter balance)
- Following Standard Operating Procedures
- Manual handling
- Working in a food manufacturing environment
- Working in controlled areas e.g. GMP, Clean room
- Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Management systems
Knowledge:
- Food Safety and HACCP
- GMP & Health & Safety
