Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Purpose of the Role:
To control the flow of work through your Department to meet client deadlines, maximising staff utilisation and minimising production and employee costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- To have a Fork Lift/Reach Truck licence and to assist the Production Manager produce an operating cost budget to manage the total production function.
- To ensure all incoming goods are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
- To ensure all goods are located correctly and that all locations records are maintained accurately.
- To understand the capabilities of any equipment in your area of responsibility, including the reach truck/fork lift and any manual handling equipment.
- To assist the Production Manager in understanding the capabilities of warehouse and any individual warehouse employees, to identify and organise appropriate training, and to ensure minimum staffing levels consistent with safety and quality.
- To support the Production Manager in ensuring the ongoing availability of all production facilities, organising appropriate maintenance, servicing and availability of spare parts.
- To seek to support and improve all production activities and discuss ideas for improvement with the Production Manager.
- To be responsible for all the Company health and safety issues within your area of responsibility.
- To immediately inform the Account Manager if materials supplied by the client are unlikely to be available at the time required by production, or are of inadequate quality, keeping records of time worked on each job.
- To retain an awareness of the improvements and changes associated with the equipment, materials and services purchased by the Company and, where appropriate, put forward recommendations for incorporation into the Company’s operations.
- To inform the Production Manager of any ideas to improve the efficiency of the Company’s operations.
- To manage and keep up to date the warehouse management systems operated by the company, keeping stock control and locations accurate at all times
- To treat all client data as strictly confidential and not pass to third parties without specific authorisation from the General Manager.
- To contribute to, and work within a healthy and safe working environment in Company premises, and at all times whilst on Company business.
- At the request of the Production Manager to carry out any other functions that may be required to assist in the efficient operation of the Company, and inform the Operations Manager of any areas of responsibility, which are not or are unlikely to be fulfilled.
- At the request of the General Manager, to carry out any other functions that may be required to assist the efficient operation of the Company, and inform them of any areas of responsibility which are not or are unlikely to be fulfilled.
The Candidate:
- This role would suit someone who is either looking to step up into a more senior role or an experience supervisor seeking a new challenge
- Must have either a Forklift Truck or Reach truck licence
- At least 2 years of practical experience in a warehouse environment
- Must live within an easy commute of Marlow
