Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Job type: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Min 40 hrs per week – Monday to Friday, additional hrs needed in busy/ seasonal time including Sat mornings as required
The Company is a friendly family business that sources and imports quality Crystals, Minerals and Fossils. The products are sized, selected and packaged at their premises before being distributed to retail buyers around the globe. They’re passionate about their product and providing an efficient and professional service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has proven warehousing experience that has enthusiasm and drive with a ‘can do’ approach. The business is expanding (warehouse upgraded in 2018) and this role is ideally suited to someone who is looking for a new ‘hands-on’ exciting challenge.
Key Requirements:
- Improve warehouse work processes
- Coordinate all warehouse logistics
- Organise warehouse & maintain storage & picking areas
- Unloading deliveries
- Control goods in and stock movements
- Ensure shipments match packing list & completion of paperwork
- Liaise with other departments
- Supervise warehouse operative
- Continually review, monitor and improve Health & Safety processes
The Candidate:
Person Specification:
- Proven warehouse experience, preferably as a supervisor or team leader
- Experienced FLT driver with current counterbalance licence
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office & Excel
- Experienced in Health & Safety
Core Skills:
- Excellent organisational & problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
