Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £25,000 – £26,520 per year
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time. Please note that this role will be Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm and you must be a Driver with permanent access to a car as we are not accessible in any way via public transport!

With a strong commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we have been serving our merchants for 17 years and with a focus on continuous improvement, our family run business is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team and lead our operations to new heights.
Responsibilities:
Stock Organization and Rotation:
- Implement and maintain an organized stock system
- Ensure timely rotation of goods to minimize waste and product expiration
Accurate Picking & Packing of Goods:
- Execute precise picking and packing of products to fulfil customer orders
- Utilize proper packaging techniques to ensure product safety during transit
Processing Orders:
- Process incoming orders promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with other team members to meet daily order fulfilment targets
Stock Administration and Inventory:
- Keep detailed records of stock levels and inventory movements
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist in inventory reconciliation
Housekeeping of Warehouse:
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Implement housekeeping practices to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of goods
Maintenance of Paperwork and Documents:
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all warehouse activities
- Collaborate with the administrative team to manage paperwork related to orders, receipts, and shipments
Transfer of Pallets via Forklift:
- Safely operate a forklift to move and transfer pallets within the warehouse
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during forklift operations
Unloading Deliveries:
- Coordinate with the receiving team to unload and inspect incoming deliveries
- Ensure accurate recording of received goods and report any discrepancies
Additional Benefits:
- 28 days Holiday (20 days plus Bank Holidays), increasing by one day after one year’s service and every year up to a maximum of five years

Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience / license of forklift trucks
- Maths & English GCSE at Grade C or above
- All Applicants must provide Right to Work evidence at Interview
Desired:
- Current valid forklift license
- Experience of driving large vans considered a bonus!
