Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum
Job Type: Full time 35 hours – 9-5pm

Designs & Lines is UK based company with over 20 years’ experience, specialising in bespoke and custom designed thermoplastic outdoor playground & car park markings. We the new addition of our Waterjet cutting machine we are expanding in to proving a cutting service to many other industries which is why this role is available.

The Role:
- Operating our Waterjet cutting machine cutting various products and Materials ie Thermoplastic , Titles, Metal etc.
- Preparing and packing jobs to a high standard.
- Operating the Forklift truck.
- Unloading pallet deliveries .
- Stacking and wrapping pallets.
- Warehouse and stock control.
- Keep the warehouse in a safe and tidy standard.
- Maintenance of the waterjet cutting machine.
- Quality Control.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable and committed with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team.
We are willing to provide waterjet cutting machine training to anyone with a background in engineering and overall knowhow with operating cutting machinery.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of operating a Waterjet cutting machine or similar (although full training will be given).
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Hardworking and Reliable.
- Excellent attention to detail and Health & Safety awareness.
- Be able to problem solve and use initiative.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Be able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Friendly and approachable.
- Be able to communicate well with customers and other staff members.
- Take pride in our business and be presentable.
- Able to read and understand plans and calculate measurements.
