Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Aldridge
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Job Type: Full time, Permanent (Mon-Fri, 8am – 5pm)
The Role:
As a Warehouse Operations manager you will be required to manage the Warehouse and staff, co-ordinating stores and resources to the mutual benefit of both the company and its customers and suppliers. Embrace storage of finished and packed good, managing goods inwards, dispatch/distribution and internal/external transport. You will also be required to manage the Warehouse function to provide an effective and efficient service to customers through on time dispatch of products to agreed locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and Transport Companies (Dispatch).
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt of Sales Order(s) and Dispatch of Goods.
- Use space and MHE efficiently, making sure quality, targets and objectives are met.
- Have a clear understanding of Company Policies and vision, and how the Warehouse contributes to these.
- Coordinate the use of systems where necessary.
- Respond to and deal with Sales & Customer communication by email and telephone.
- Keep Stock Control Systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate,
- Plan/Organise future Warehouse Capacity requirements.
- Organise recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring Staff KPI’s and Progression.
- Motivate, Organise and Encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a Daily, Weekly and Monthly basis.
- Brief Workforce Daily.
- Maintain Standards of Health & Safety, Hygiene and Security in the work environment.
- Oversee the Planned Maintenance of Machinery and Equipment.
- Ability to create BOMS.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse and/or Operations Manager.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and Data Entry Software. Ideally with Sage 200 or WMS knowledge.
- Numeracy skills and an understanding of Stock Management.
- Planning and organisation skills to effectively manage the flow of stock.
- Analytical ability.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Initiative and decisiveness.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work on a tactical and strategic level.
- ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of the Legal requirements of operating a Warehouse.
- Full UK driving license.
