Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: In the Castleford/Wakefield area
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 dependent on experience, skills and qualifications
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

They now have an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Personnel Leadership Role
- Supervise the Warehouse Team ensuring adherence to legal, Company and corporate requirements
- Ensure that the team is fully trained and developed to ensure ability to perform tasks safely and effectively
- Ensure that the team are equipped with suitable protective clothing and that this is worn at all times
- Ensure that the warehouse, racking, lifting equipment, walkways and vehicles are kept in a safe and legal condition at all times
- Arrange and document service and maintenance of Warehouse machinery, ensuring that non-conforming machinery, lifting equipment or racking are reported, and not used until deemed safe
- Ensure that any non-conformances, near misses, and safety issues are reported and dealt with in the correct way
- Carry out Performance appraisals, RTWs
Warehouse tasks and responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the safe and correct handling and storage of materials and products
- Take responsibility for the immediate and accurate documentation of Warehouse transactions in the ERP System
- Take responsibility that goods are packed correctly and that the dispatches conform to legal and company requirements
- Obtain and communicate transportation costs, weights and dimensions etc.
- Obtain and provide tracking information
- Provide all relevant information to customers, carriers and forwarders to enable them to arrange the collection of their goods
- Arrange collection of goods from suppliers
- Arrange the disposal of waste and waste materials
- Keep the back yard clean and safe
- Check and monitor safety documentation, (i.e. fork truck log)
