Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: Didcot Quarter (near Milton Park), Abingdon
Salary: £32,000 – £37,000 per annum depending on experience, plus bonus
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
About the role:
We are looking for a proactive, customer orientated individual with warehouse management experience to manage all aspects of warehousing and materials movement for designated Customers at our specialist logistics facility near Didcot. Your responsibilities will include line manging a small team of operatives and drivers, as well as managing processes and inventory management systems to ensure goods are received and dispatched effectively according to Customer requirement and KPI. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to support the Company’s development as we continue to deliver the highest levels of service excellence.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage Logistics team resources at Didcot Quarter to meet actual volumes and KPI’s including the planning and reporting of employee’s annual leave and flex time.
- Manage team performance including training and development of colleagues
- Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to and demonstrating safe working practices.
- Support team to develop and maintain safe working practices and correctly act upon and report near miss, incident and accidents.
- Ensure good Logistics practices and adherence to company QM systems and processes, identifying and assisting in the resolution of operational issues through a positive and proactive approach and ensuring completion of documentation.
- Resolve operational issues and update policies and procedures using Quality Management controlled process
- Contribute to the investigation of failures including reporting and implementation of preventative actions.
- Ensure processes are adhered to in line with internal ISO and Quality Management standards, external compliance requirements and agreed Customer Service Levels
- Manage and work with colleagues to maintain inventory management system
- Maintain regular stakeholder communication and positive Customer relationships

About you:
Key Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working at a management level within a quality driven warehousing or logistics environment
- Good working knowledge of Excel and inventory management systems
- Experience in providing leadership, supervision and line management to a small team of reports
- Excellent analysis and evaluation skills with a drive to challenge the status quo
Desirable:
- Experience of working within quality management standards (ISO 9001/45001; ISO 14001)
- Understanding of Aviation secure working is desirable, however full training is provided
- Experience in process design, mapping & documentation
