We are looking for someone to join of our supported living services in Melksham. We currently support four individuals with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible whilst enjoying barrier free access to the community.
Experience isn’t everything, we are more interested in finding someone who is looking to make a difference and shares our passion for putting the people we support at the centre of everything we do. We can teach you how to be a Support Worker, we just need you to come to us with a willingness to learn and the ability to use your initiative.
As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting people in their own homes
- Assisting with domestic duties
- Helping the people we support with evening and morning routine
- Monitoring the people we support through the night
- Maintaining relevant documentation
- Personal care
As an organisation we don’t ask for specific skills or experience but we are looking for candidates with a passion for providing first class care, a friendly and conversational nature and the ability to act as a calming influence. If you can combine these qualities with reliability and good organisational skills you will have ingredients to make a fantastic Waking Nights Support Worker. Previous experience of working within the social care sector would be beneficial but is not compulsory.

In return for your dedication as a Support Worker you will receive:
- £9.80 per hour
- 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part time), which increases after 3 and 5 years’ service
