Job Title: Video Producer

Location: Winchester SO23 7RX – with as much location and travel as projects demand

Salary: £28,000.00 to £36,000.00 per annum

videofrog productions in Winchester is expanding its team to service a demanding and growing client base.

Are you creative, productive, sensitive to client’s needs, agile, motivated and looking for career development? We are looking for a person with experience as a video producer who wants to be part of a growing business in corporate video and digital media.

We are looking for candidates, who are ready to or have previously managed and produced projects, entrusted to their responsibility.
Having relevant filming, motion graphics, editing and production skills and experience in some mix, is a given.

Job Role:

The Video Producer will play a key role in the achievement of the Videofrog operational duties, working with Production Manager, Matt Downer and as part of Whitwam Ltd.

Delivering results within the agreed time and financial limits of individual projects and ensuring profitable, creative and exceptional work.

The Video Producer will offer a balance between hands on operations & technical delivery from within the video production process and act as a project/shoot/edit producer. This balance will need to be found and continuously monitored to ensure we are on plan of enabling project management and not just delivery of workflow.

To challenge, evaluate and grow the abilities, skill and enthusiasm of the post holder and embrace their potential.

We are planning and resourcing growth in the videofrog business and this producer role will be key to enabling this growth and making this role of high importance to the whole of Videofrog as it develops and add more team members.

Day to day duties and roles:

Video PRODUCING:

  • Pitch, plan, quote, design, produce and manage all aspects of Videofrog production, using the agreed and developing protocols, systems and methods and instructed by the Videofrog Manager.
  • Develop productive relationships between client companies and Videofrog through personal contact with clients’ staff and representatives
  • Produce video content and digital media to the highest technical and creative standard whilst staying in budget and on schedule.
  • Book, budget and develop freelance and supplier company relations to ensure high quality input, good value and trust.

Video OPERATIONS:

  • Attend and contribute to pre-production meetings guiding both client and end users through the process
  • Check and assemble kit against job specification, ensuring it is good for purpose, tested and safe.
  • To travel to or set up work environments so that all work is seen as professional by piers and clients
  • Operate sound, lighting, camera, vision mix, streaming and editing kit to capture high quality results
  • After each job leave work environment clean, safe and ready for next user
  • Liaise with clients, agents, creative agencies and colleagues to ensure the job is understood and delivered to meet expectations.
  • Record and report any discrepancies between quoted and actual job to ensure invoice accuracy.
  • Support in operational needs such as stock taking, repairs, basic training and vehicle safety.
  • Follow in-house best practices for data management including project asset and footage backup.
  • Archiving of projects and client data following all protocols and due care. Data management failure can result in disciplinary action.

GENERAL:

  • OFFICE SUPPORT. To assist with client reception (telephone, email & walk-in) and the provision of immediate client service
  • TEAM COVER. To deputise for absent members of the company as required
  • HEALTH & SAFETY. To comply with the company’s Health and Safety policy and practices and contribute to safe working practices and environment
  • To observe company standards of practice regarding vehicle, equipment and premises security
  • To observe company policies and agreed practices
  • Be prepared to regularly travel nationally and internationally, often working outside of core hours and occasional weekends

Our expectations:

We’d expect that you know how to use and create productions using Adobe products.

You understand, have used and have experience of using a range of cameras and accessories.

You need to have a full driving licence, and passport for travel across Europe for video productions.

This is a full-time role, working from our studios in Winchester, Hampshire.
