Job Title: Venue Sales Manager
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £39,880-£41,881 per annum
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the sales function, ensuring that the Sales Team have the necessary tools and support to execute the new sales strategy now in place at the venue.
This post will involve devising and developing successful sector sales strategies with the Sales team, in order to drive lettings revenues above £5.m by 2024 with the support of the Director of the Centre. To achieve this aim, it is vital that the Venue Sales Manager drives a “proactive” sales culture that delivers results.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that your team is motivated and mentored, and that all professional sales processes and procedures are followed, and that the Venue is sold in a commercially efficient manner.
This post will also play a key role in driving the overall sales effort at HCC, by producing effective bids and proposals internally and with town stakeholders.
About you:
You should have 5 years sales experience in a senior sales role, preferably within a venue events setting, and a proven track record of driving up sales from a managerial position.
The successful candidate will also be an excellent presenter, a sales evangelist, with a passion for exceeding sales targets and meeting deadlines.
The role of Venue Sales Manager does require the ability to travel throughout the UK and abroad. As with all posts within the events business, there may be the need on some occasions to work in the evenings and at weekends.
This role is a full time position with the benefits of Flexi-time and TOIL, commensurate with all other Harrogate Borough Council terms and conditions. You should have a clean driving licence and use of a vehicle, for which an appropriate allowance is payable for mileage.
