Job Title: Valuation Assistant

Location: Morpeth, Northumberland (NE15 – NE71)

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Job Type: temporary / contract basis and is an urgent requirement.

Bruton Knowles LLP is an independently owned Chartered Surveying practice who provide a comprehensive range of surveying and property services.

We’ve taken on new, innovative ways of working to deliver our services and we’ve created a new strategy to target key areas of growth for the business.

We are currently looking for candidates who have an interest in property to join a dynamic team.

Candidates must hold a UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

The Position:

We are looking for an individual to assist in the delivery of secured loan valuation services to our banking clients by undertaking specific research and photographing properties throughout Northumberland. You must have transport as visiting properties throughout Northumberland is an essential part of the job.

Everyone will be willing to support you and guidance is only a phone call away. If you have transferable skills from communications to IT and problem solving, we will be interested to hear from you. Full training will be provided.

The Candidate:

  • A good working knowledge of IT and MS Office.
  • Self-starter with good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • The ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • A willingness to be part of a team and to interact with other professional staff.
  • The ability to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.
  • The ability to accept responsibility and, within parameters defined by the immediate performance manager, work on their own initiative.
  • Full driving licence.

Key Requirements:

  • Identify buildings, property and land from plans, drive to the location and take external pictures as instructed by the surveyor.
  • Upload photographs onto a bespoke database.
  • Input data.
