Job Title: Validation Team Leader

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000

Job Type: Fulltime/ Permanent

Location: Wrexham, LL13 9UF

A day in the life of a Validation Team Leader:

You will be a key member of the Operations Management Team, leading the Validation Department to ensure validation work is executed to the highest standard, to timescales and in accordance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for managing the validation of production equipment, facilities and utilities, including routine re-qualification, new introductions and equipment changes.

You will provide project support by generating validation requirements as requested.

What we’re looking for:

You will have an enthusiastic approach with excellent leadership and inter-personal skills, coupled with strong aseptic technical knowledge, organisational and communication skills.

A solid understanding of current pharmaceutical technology and its respective validation requirements. This includes but not limited to:

  • Aseptic Ampoule/Vial Filling Lines, Depyrogenation Tunnels, Washers, Autoclaves, Freeze Dryers, Automatic visual inspection and packing systems.
  • Facilities – Cleanrooms, HVAC, Facility/Environmental Monitoring Systems, Smoke Studies, Particle Monitoring, Temperature Mapping.
  • Utilities – Purified Water, WFI, Pure Stream, Gases used to serve sterile facilities.

You will also have excellent technical authorship skills to develop validation documentation, VMPs, policies and procedures.

Previous experience in the intricacies of manufacturing parenteral productions, front facing regulatory audits, along with a thorough understanding of cGMP and Health and Safety regulations is essential.

  • Engineering or Science related Degree.
  • Good understanding, experience of CQV, experience of managing VMPs.
  • Demonstrated experience as a validation leader within a highly regulated Pharmaceutical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet business targets and objectives.
  • Strong personal organisation and time management.
  • Capability to develop high level influencing skills.
  • Previous experience in Quality Operations advantageous.

You will be working from our Wrexham based site which is home to our MHRA approved sterile injectable manufacturing facility.
