Job Title: UK Sales Engineer
Location: Northern UK
Salary: £35,000 OTE £42,000. Pension, life assurance, 26 days holiday entitlement, free parking.
Job Type: 37 hours per week

The role:
Further expansion in the UK market brings an opportunity for a high-calibre Sales Engineer, focussing on the “Northern half” territory of the UK.
Reporting to the UK Sales Manager you will be part of a team focused on increasing market share while maintaining the current customer base.
The role includes an opportunity to shape the Company’s strategy while planning and managing visits to universities, colleges and training centres.
Key to your success will be planning, forecasting and meeting budgets, producing monthly reports, gathering competitive data and forecasting market trends. The role offers excellent future opportunities as would be expected from the market leaders in its field.
Essential Experience from Candidate:
- Proven sales track record in a similar hi-tech, high-quality environment.
- A confident, driven and motivated lead creator, negotiator and closer.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Confident in building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers to build a sales pipeline.
- An effective communicator who can advise customers on the best products and solutions to fulfil their needs and requirements
- Self-starter able to manage and plan own workload.
- Flexible to travel, predominately within the sales territory, and be prepared to work away from the office and home.
Desirable Experience from Candidate:
- Knowledge of the UK education and/or training industry.
- Engineering qualification.
- Marketing experience.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Forecast and achieve sales targets
- Weekly report and actions list
- Visit and develop prospects in order to secure orders
- Develop the market in the territory
- Provide product related feedback from the market in the territory
- Document price related competitor feedback on the competitor database
- Contribute to the company marketing plan and provide input to all relevant sales promotional literature
- To monitor and update the order intake forecast
- Provide exhibition stand cover
- To provide sales back up on site visits when necessary – UK
- Assist with visitor hosting as necessary
- To consistently strive to improve quality in all daily processes.
