Job Title: Transport Planner
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £24,000 – £29,000 plus Bonus.
Job Type: Full Time – Permanent. Hours – 0930 – 1730 (Mon-Fri) On Call – 1 night per week, 1 in every 6 weekends.
OSE European Ltd are a busy transport & logistics company based in Gateshead, established in 2001, specialising in time critical transport to the UK and Europe.
OSE European Ltd are looking to expand their Operations/Planning team and are looking to recruit a highly driven Transport Planner to match the company’s ambitions.
Role Description:
The ideal candidate will have had previous Transport Planner experience. You will be required to deliver cost effective UK & European plan to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities to include:-
- Ensure all UK / European jobs are optimally planned
- Ensure relevant paperwork is available for drivers
- Liaise with sales teams – forward planning, future jobs/backloads
- Liaise with customs team – European paperwork prepared in advance
- Optimum Fuelling Points Adherence
- Book Ferries / Hotels / Trains
- Adhere to ADR / Refrigerated requirements
- Vehicle Maintenance Plan – Daily Check
- Driver Availability
- CPC desirable but not essential
- Full training given
Objectives:
- Deliver Timely Cost-Effective UK & European Plan
- 100% Vehicle Inspections/Service on Time
- You will also be responsible for all Drivers and Vehicles on site
