Job Title: Transport Manager
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £31,000 per annum (£34,000 OTE)
Job type: Full Time – Permanent.
OSE European Ltd are a busy transport & logistics company based in Gateshead, established in 2001, specialising in time critical transport to the UK and Europe.
OSE European Ltd are looking to expand, and are looking to recruit a highly driven Transport Manager to match the company’s ambitions.
Role Description:
The ideal candidate will have had previous Transport Manager role(s) with experience in planning being advantageous. As Transport Manager you will be responsible for the efficient and safe running of the transport function, and will be a key member of the company lead team. Responsibilities to include:-
- Safety & Legal Compliance for Drivers & Vehicles
- Strong leadership and direction to team of 35 drivers
- Continuous Cost Saving projects
- Part of planning team to ensure resources available to meet customer requirements
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- International Managers CPC
- Leadership
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload within a fast-paced office environment
- Organisational skills essential to manage the administrative tasks associated with fleet & driver management
- Geographical knowledge of UK and Europe
- A Senior Transport Planner with plans for CPC qualification would be considered
