Job Title: Transport Administrator
Location: Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
Salary: £9.00 Per Hour circa 18k per annum

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join an award winning food manufacturer. The firm is a progressive family run dairy based in Holmfirth, Yorkshire. The firm manages its own fleet of 15 vehicles with an onsite garage and 15 full time drivers.
You will have 12 months minimum experience in a similar role supporting an in-house commercial fleet in all areas of compliance and administration.
The Role:
- Responsible for ensuring all drivers receive the correct paperwork and are fully briefed at the start and end of their run, in line with internal procedures and legal requirements
- Providing support to the transport supervisor and office manager
- Ensuring their FTA software system is managed, making sure all information is present and correct and there is full compliance to any regulations
- Accurately recording driver hours, analysis of both digital and analogue tachograph recording systems. Ensuring adherence to driver run times and reporting any anomalies directly to the Driver Supervisor and/or Operations Manager
- Accurately record all driver holidays, sickness and any other absence and ensuring the necessary records and rotas are up to date at all times
- To set up drivers’ records for new starters to keep licence information
- To keep accurate records of any tachograph infringements and driving licence checks
- Manage all driver CPC training requirements and maintain accurate training records
- Working with the Garage to ensure defects are logged, servicing schedules are meet and fleet issues are escalated as required
The Candidate:
- Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
- Have a working knowledge of Transport Legislation / WTD / Drivers hours
- Ability to listen to and follow instructions
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- A good accuracy level is essential
- Good numeracy and literacy
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
- Being polite and courteous
- A can do attitude, with the ability to offer up to date systems and administrative ideas
- An ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
- The ability to juggle multiple projects and move between tasks seamlessly as priorities change throughout the day
- A genuine desire to engage with internal customers such as the garage, sales and warehouse teams
All candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills and must currently be eligible to work in the United Kingdom. No sponsorship opportunities are available for this role.
The role will predominantly be Monday to Friday, office hours although some flexibility and early starts may be required.
