About the role:
Our Field Service Engineers carry out installation, service and repair of a range of garage equipment, within a defined geographical area. Due to our growth we are currently looking for candidates with a Mechanical/Electrical background who can accompany our experienced Engineers and be trained up into fully fledged Field Service Engineers.

What you’ll be doing:
It’s a trainee position so you’ll primarily be attending site visits with the Senior Engineers and learning the ropes while assisting them with their duties.
Typical duties include:
- Providing on-site repairs and servicing for client equipment
- Liaise with field sales staff to maximise sales opportunities within the area and advise any relevant local knowledge
- Submit paperwork/REA (remote engineer access) reports to head office
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve service performance based on front line experience and interactions with customers
- Escalate more serious technical queries to line manager
About you:
- This position would suit an enthusiastic applicant who is ready and willing to learn.
- The job requires a flexible approach to the working day as the work load varies depending on customer needs.
- An interest in Mechanical and Electrical repairs and ability to understand Computer based equipment is essential.
- Applicant will need to be mobile, have a full driving licence and reside within reasonable travelling distance of our Plympton Office.
