Our team of dedicated staff have worked within the built-in fire protection sector for many years, providing extensive knowledge and experience to work closely with our clients. This allows us to ensure that through each and every stage of the project, from the initial survey with our experienced estimating department to contract management, the highest results in professional service and a successful outcome are achieved.
Fire Shield is currently looking for a Trainee Commercial Assistant to join their growing team in Ewhurst.
The role:
This exciting Trainee Commercial Assistant position would suit people who, ideally have worked in a similar role for 6-12 months. However, no other previous experience is essential as extensive training will be provided.
Reporting to the senior Estimator, who will guide you and provide personal development, we are looking for candidates with an enthusiastic and proactive attitude to fit in with our culture, the most successful candidates will have a desire to learn and develop.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Support the commercial team on the accurate measurement of tenders.
- Efficient management of reports.
- Document control.
- Maximising cost compliance.
Competencies:
- Good standard of English Language and Mathematics (GCSEs A-C)
- Studying toward a qualification in commercial management is desirable.
- Self-motivated
- Numerically proficient
- Inquisitive and enthusiastic
- Computer literate with a strong knowledge of excel.
