Salary: £140 per day
Job Type: Full Time, 20 Month contract with possible extension
Working Hours: 7.00am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)

The Role:
Excalon has a great opportunity for a Traffic Management Operative to be based from our Edinburgh site to work across Scotland.
You will be required to cover hours from 7.00am to 6pm (Monday to Friday) though the nature of the role requires flexibility to work additional hours on occasion to meet the needs of the business. Out of hours call out will also be required attracting an additional weekly rate. Weekend overtime also required.
Purpose of the Role:
To carry out general Traffic Management duties, including installation, maintenance, and removal of TM sites in compliance with Chapter 8 and NRSWA.
Accountable to the Traffic Management Manager and senior Traffic Management Operative, you will work as part of a wider team and be a strong team player.
You will uphold company values and will follow all related health and safety processes and procedures to keep yourself, your team, and members of the public safe at all times.
Key Duties:
- Working to Chapter 8 & NRSWA in Installation/Removal of closures
- Compliance of H&S on site set up
- Manning and Maintaining traffic management sites
- Carry out on-site report for audit purposes
- Complete daily vehicle and plant checks
- Keeping the customer (internal and external) as the focal point for our activities
- Assist in general yard and equipment maintenance duties as required
About You:
Ideal Skills and Qualifications
- Background in Traffic Management
- Lantra M1, M2 and M5
- Full clean driving licence
- NRSWA Streetworks Operative
- Effective communicator
- Punctuation and Reliability
- Out of hours callout rota
- Good working relationship with colleagues within the team
- Flexible to work across multiple areas
