The Company:
Mowers UK (a division of Acacia Groundcare Equipment Rental) is a leading retailer of garden, forestry and arboriculture machinery, based in Tadley, Basingstoke.
The Position:
Are you looking for a role with variety? Do you have some retail experience? We are looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join our friendly team who is self-motivated, enjoys working with people, has excellent attention to detail and is able to show a pro-active approach. Experience in the garden/landscaping industry would be an advantage. Excellent communication skills are needed, and there are opportunities for progression for the right person. Training will be given on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serving customers in the shop, answering the telephone, replying to customer emails, and arranging stock
- Provide high quality customer service with a friendly approach
- General associated administration including processing customer orders, invoice creation, updating our database, dealing with warranty matters etc
- Occasional deliveries to customers in the local area
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Display a can-do attitude and enjoy working as part of a team
The Candidate:
- Experience in a customer-facing role (essential)
- Clean driving licence (essential)
- Experience in retail
- Experience in a similar garden care machinery business
- Familiar with Excel and Word
