Job Title: Test Technician
Location: Mansfield
Salary: £21,000 with potential to Increase.
Job type: Permanent, Full time.
About us:
Status Scientific Controls Ltd are a Gas Detection Company with over 30 years of experience and success require a test engineer to join our busy production team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Testing, calibration, fault finding and repair of electronic products.
- Calibration and testing of product equipment.
- To adhere to ISO 9001 processes and procedures.
The Person and Skills Required:
- The ability to work and learn within a small team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills.
- A genuine interest in the role and the environment/industry.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office work tools.
- A/AS level or equivalent (BTEC Level 3) or higher in electronics.
- The ability to read and understand circuit diagrams.
- Fault finding down to component level.
- The ability to solder, including soldering of very small surface mount components without damaging the PCB.
What We Offer:
- Wages paid weekly directly into bank account.
- 40 Hours: Monday-Friday plus overtime when necessary.
- 8:00am to 4:30pm with ½ hour lunch break.
- Holidays: 23 days per annum + statutory holidays.
- The holiday year runs from 1 October – 30 September.
