Job Title: Test House Engineer
Location: Salisbury
Salary: £33,189.25 – £40,067.55
Job Type: Permanent/Full-time, to be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.

The Role:
The Test House Engineer will be required to carry out environmental testing of test items (both hazardous and non-hazardous) in accordance with customer requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the conduct of assigned environmental test programs from initial customer enquiry, internal or external, through to compilation of final test report.
- Maintain records of Test House activities and produce/authorize written reports.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards for allocated buildings.
- Maintain the Test House Quality Systems.
- Undertake all aspects of environmental testing.
- Support the team to ensure all testing within the Test House is completed safely within cost, timescale, and customer satisfaction.
- Introduction, and maintenance of, Test House vibration hardware / fixtures.
- Maintain all aspects regarding vibration testing including test standards, cross axial motion checks, and annual shaker health checks.
- Procurement of new test equipment, including installation and commissioning where required.
- Provide technical support to customers (internal and external).
- Assist in the liaison with internal and external customers in assessing customer requirements and producing test instructions when required.
- Manage the maintenance of existing test equipment.
- Ensure safe systems of working are employed and followed.
- Other duties commensurate with the position as required by the Test House Supervisor.
Test House Engineer Specification:
- Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance
- Must have continually resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
- HNC an engineering or related discipline
- Full clean driving licence
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience with customer services and able to speak to customers confidently
- Vibration Experience (essential)
- Knowledge of uncertainty assessment
- Experience of pyrotechnics (desirable)
- Knowledge of test standards and quality management systems (essential)
- Knowledge of MS Office
