Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Romsey, Hampshire
Salary: Up to £30000 per annum depending on experience

The Company is an independently owned international corporation, offering an established and effective range of power protection products, services and sells to a very broad spectrum of industries and sectors.
Role Overview:
The main responsibilities are answering incoming phone calls and e-mails from customers and addressing their technical questions and concerns regarding the company’s products and services, as well as troubleshooting any technical problems they may have.
Also addressing concerns brought up by other departments within the company such as sales and operations. Controlling the company product technical documents ensuring that all technical changes are up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first line technical support to UK and International Customers
- Provide support to the internal and external Sales Team whilst also liaising with the engineering and manufacturing teams
- Control and updating of technical specifications for company products
- Control and update user manuals for company products
- Control and update service manuals and schematics for company products
- Involved in product development
- Provide customers with Method Statements & Risk Assessments
Key Requirements:
- Ideally a candidate from an electrical or electro-mechanical background
- Knowledge in Electricity, UPS, Generators, Inverters and Batteries, however training provided
- Problem solving is key for this role so being able to think on your feet is essential
- HNC Electronic Engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service/focus
- Excellent organisation, time management and prioritisation skills
- Solution orientated with a positive, can-do attitude
- Knowledge of CAD and understanding Electrical drawings
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
20 days holiday per annum this will increase by 1 day for each year of service up to a maximum of 25 days.
Working hours will be Monday – Friday, 9-5:30, including a 1 hour lunch.
