Main Duties:
- Act as the QA & technical expert in a standalone role, providing advice to customers, colleagues and design team
- Ensure products comply with UK legislation and standards/regulations, and procedures and policies are in place to do so
- Be responsible for all technical data and documents as per standards and regulations and collaborate with other department for data collection, presentation and reporting
- Deal with customer complaints and faulty products, undertaking investigation and resolving where possible, which may include occasional visit to customer sites
- Dealing with complex technical queries and sharing your knowledge to educate others
- Test, evaluate and manage new products from a technical perspective
- Keeping up to date with Regulations, carrying out audits, representing the company in the electrical and lighting industry
About you:
- Have some experience in a similar role, if it’s in the lighting industry that’s even better!
- You will be confident and won’t shy away from working with a variety of stakeholders and talking to customers
- Driven, curious, and passionate about delivering the highest quality of work
- Strong analytical skills and desire to make things right or better
- Ability to communicate at all levels in an engaging and approachable manner
- Methodical approach to problem solving, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as manage and prioritise workload
- Flexibility and willing to learn new skills
- Technical, hands-on approach with a good understanding of the commercial implications and requirements
