Job Title: Technical Author

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 Per Annum.

We’re now looking for an exceptional Technical Author to join our growing team. As our resident Technical Author for Affinity Photo with a strong interest in photography, your role is to create and deliver great educational content for Affinity Photo. This includes in-app help, tutorials, and editorial content.

This position would be perfect for you if are a keen writer in the technology or photography sector. A love of software is a given.
The Role
- Research, plan and create help, digital projects, tutorials and learning articles.
- Work with the Artists Relations team to create learning content alongside other photography professionals.
- Aid translation processes when required
- Other general documentation duties to ensure project delivery.
- Monitor community for current awareness.
Ideal candidate
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work under tight project deadlines
- Excellent command of English language and grammar
- Ability to communicate effectively to non-technical people
- Ability to clearly explain complex issues
- Good typing rate
- Must be able to strike a balance between your creative endeavours and productivity, always to the benefit of the user.
- Strong interest in photography and photo editing software.
- Proven experience of writing engaging content.
- Proven ability to research topics and develop tutorials.
- Background in photography or content creation preferred.
