HITPAD is a Young Peoples Supported Accommodation Service, supporting 27 clients across Buckinghamshire in shared and self-contained accommodation. We are currently recruiting a Team Manager to join our small friendly team.
About the role.
Working with a wide range of young people (16-24), with varying needs, who are or are at risk of homelessness, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our young people’s service. This will include managing a team of Support Workers, monitoring outcomes, contractual compliance, ensuring the effective running of the service and supporting the Operations Manager when needed.
You will have responsibility for working closely with our facilities team to make sure the accommodation meets regulations, and you will liaise with landlords, neighbours, police and local district councils to manage any issues that may arise.
Your empathetic understanding will ensure you encourage and promote dignity, independence, and control, to empower the young people to have purpose, and develop their skills so they are able to live their lives independently.
This role is permanent working 18.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday across Buckinghamshire.
Salary of £33,570 – £37,179 per annum, pro rata, working across Buckinghamshire. You will also need to support on-call on occasion which is paid in addition to your annual salary.
Due to the nature of the role, a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

About you.
Your inspirational leadership and natural ability to want to improve outcomes for people and help make the lives of others fulfilling is what drives you to want to work in an environment that has its challenges but is also fun and rewarding.
You will have at least 2 years’ experience of working as a Team Manager in either homelessness, mental health, youth work, social work, supported accommodation, ex-offenders or other similar settings. In addition, your experience should include the supervision of staff, and you can demonstrate your understanding of the support planning, and monitoring outcomes process.
You are able to demonstrate your excellent communication and relationship building skills, understanding the importance of working directly with young people, getting to know them and working with their support networks, whilst using a multi-agency approach.
