Job Title: Surge Protection Installation Electrician
Location: Swindon/South West area – covering the South of England and be in reasonable proximity to London and South East

About the job:
You’ll be responsible for the accurate, compliant, and timely installation of surge protection solutions, in which responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Liaising with client contacts, in order to install surge protection devices to low voltage electrical systems; in line with relevant British standards
- Completion of relevant certification
- Attending client sites to accurately survey for surge protection requirements
- Reporting progress on projects, as required, to senior reports
- Upholding Company health and safety standards, including, but not limited to, the completion of risk assessments
About you:
Required qualifications (please do not apply if you do not possess the below)
- Be qualified to the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018)
- Be an ECS JIB Approved Electrician
- Hold a valid UK driving licence
Additional requirements
- Knowledge of lightning and surge protection and BS EN 62305 would be a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of other electrical systems, such as those for fire alarm, CCTV, access and photovoltaic installations would also be an advantage
- Competent in writing reports and compiling completion certificates, with a strong attention to detail
- Proficient in working autonomously
- Excellent customer liaison skills
- Effective communication skills – with an ability to build relationships at all levels
- Flexible approach to work patterns; as the role involves extensive travel, varying start/finish times, as operationally required, and the willingness to lodge away from home when needed
