Job Title: Support Officer (Safer Communities)
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £20,852 – £22,129 – Grade D.
Job type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week). The Council operates a flexible working policy and there is opportunity for some hybrid working subject to approval.

The Safer Communities service is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person to join the Support Team, based at the Civic Centre, Harrogate.
About the role:
Working under the general direction of the Senior Support Officer in a regulatory service, you will provide, technical, financial and administrative support to the Environmental Protection, Food, Licensing and Occupational Safety teams. You will be the first point of contact for the team answering enquiries, keeping the database up to date, processing various licence applications, producing invoices and recording payments, advising customers on our processes and liaising with internal and external partners. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Candidate Requirements:
You must have a good standard of education at NVQ level 2 or equivalent, be able to use technology to a high standard, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to use your own initiative, work under pressure and contribute towards the continual improvement of the service.
