The Company is the UK’s leading waste-to-energy biodiesel producer with operations in Scotland and North West England and has always been privately owned. Their main plant, near Motherwell in Scotland, started production in 2005.
Following significant investment to facilitate growth and development, a number of facilities have been built in the Stanlow area. They specialise in the production and supply of high grade, sustainable diesel made from waste fats and oils deliberately excluding any raw materials that could also be used for food or feed.
Purpose of the Role:
Anticipate, monitor, and maintain inventory levels across the production unit and storage locations. Ensuring the efficient utilisation of resources across the Supply Chain, both internally and externally.
Provide excellent service to all stakeholders, ensuring that customer requirements are met. Accurately maintain data across all systems. Provide accurate, timely reporting. Support the developing use of Oracle within the business.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensuring timely and correct administration of I.e. Purchase / Transfer/ Work orders for chemicals and raw materials and sales orders for biodiesel and by-products based on master plans done centrally
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by Management
- Provide cover and support for colleagues in the Planning team as required
- Develop an end to end understanding of the business and production processes
- The eyes and ears of supply chain in operations
- Main point of contact for local operations team on escalation
- Maintains KPI on scheduling adherence and accuracy
- Main point of contact for transportation companies and/or logistics
- Aligns plan with operations and identify short term issues or constraints
- Maintain different reporting systems to make sure that all forms of documentation are accurate and also timely
- Collaborate and effectively communicate within the Supply Chain to make key decisions and prioritise supply issues in a timely, cost effective manner
- Planning and prioritising operations to optimise performance
- Rectify and/or reconcile differences and inaccuracies that have to do with shipment and deliveries to customers
- Administrating orders in ERP system for planning, execution and invoicing (including, customs data, transport data, sector-specific conditions, etc.)
- Calling off and receiving orders from supplier, customers and transport companies

The Candidate:
- Desired qualification in planning or supply chain management
- Supply Chain experience gained in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Experience of working with Oracle or ERP systems
- Experience in Inventory management
- Experience of using excel to an intermediate level
- Good with numbers
- Highly organised with an attention to detail and analytical approach
- To communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner to all key contacts
- To take appropriate and timely decisions that complement their customer’s requirements
- Ability to multitask, prioritising tasks where appropriate
- Ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and positive approach in the workplace
- Resilient attitude and a strong desire to learn
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Innovative thought process/out of the box thinker
