Job Purpose
Be the conduit between the company and suppliers and ensure supply of the best quality products, delivered on time at the most competitive prices.
Knowledge
- Manufacturing processes and materials
Skills
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Able to develop strong effective relationships both internally with our people and externally with suppliers
Experience
- Substantial manufacturing and/or engineering work experience.
- Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Experience of dealing with suppliers and customers.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing/ Engineering – Degree level education qualifications desirable
Key Role Requirements
- Enable our people to return home safely
- Proactive engagement with suppliers.
- Identify new suppliers that expand or improve the supply chain portfolio
- Liaise with all departments to understand product and service needs for new products (NPI’s) and raw materials.
- Coordinate orders with in-house buying team and expedite parts as required.
- Manage, implement and track any supplier/engineering design changes and NPI’s.
- Communicate efficiently throughout the procurement process both directly with suppliers and company management.
Budgetary Responsibility
- Maintain inventory levels at budget.
- Sharing forecast and consolidation of supplier capacity information
