Job Title: Stock Control Operative

This is an ambitious UK-based company with subsidiary operations in the USA, France, Germany and China. They supply materials which are used for research, development and specialised manufacturing applications within areas such as Healthcare, Industry, Communications, Academia and Defence.
The Role:
The Stock Control Operative is responsible for ensuring the best possible quality and service is delivered to internal and external customers whilst also contributing to the wider business success and driving the company strategic plan. The role is a 6-months fixed term contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the effective Stock control and accuracy to support the aims of the business in terms of Quality, Cost, Speed, Dependability, Flexibility
- Implementation of the cycle count process, conduct physical counts and reconcile with Management system
- Maintain accurate stock records
- Analysis and rectification of cycle count data
- Proactively look for process improvements with a methodical and consistent approach
- Take responsibility and ownership in problem investigation and resolution
- Ensure effective use of warehouse space through organisation, housekeeping and layout to optimise stock holdings and flow of processes
- Liaise with internal customers as and when required in a timely way to manage any issues
- Any other responsibilities for the necessary fulfilment of the role

Key Requirement
- IT skills – Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Numerical and problem-solving skills

- Able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping accurate data records

Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management / ERP systems
- Relevant warehouse/stock control/cycle count experience
- Forklift / Reach truck certification
