Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for the delivery of Statutory Accounting & Taxation services to a diverse range of clients ensuring that all tasks are completed in line with agreed procedures, quality and deadlines.
The role sits on the Senior Operational Management Team for the business and work closely with the departmental operational line managers to deal with day to day issues and strategic development of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of workload and development of a small team
- Ensuring work is delegated effectively, completed accurately and in line with deadlines
- New business development
- Client care and full client responsibility for the client book
The Candidate:
- Proven experience in a similar accounting environment
- Hold a relevant accounting qualification
- Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards, UK taxation (including payroll taxes), VAT etc.
- Able to investigate transactions, taxation and accounting rules that lie behind the numbers
- Motivated, organised and efficient
- Excellent communication skills and team management skills are essential
