Job Title: Solicitor (Grade C) / Legal Executive – Clinical Negligence

NewLaw Solicitors are looking for a Solicitor or Legal Executive (Grade C) to join our successful Specialist Claims Department. NewLaw is a well-established Claimant personal injury firm with locations in Cardiff, Bristol and Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team and run a case load of Clinical Negligence claims independently.
Within this role you will be responsible for the effective and efficient conduct of cases on behalf of clients in accordance with NewLaw’s overall policies and objectives and in the best interest of the client. There is also responsibility for pro-active development and promotion of NewLaw’s high standards and reputation.
Responsibilities
Whilst acting at all times in the best interests of the client the main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Running a case load of Clinical Negligence files independently (with appropriate supervision).
- Achieving an individual income target as set by the Team Manager
- Assisting the Senior Solicitors in the Specialist Claims team with their Clinical Negligence claims.
- To assist the Team Leader with the supervision, monitoring and development of Case Assistants in the Specialist Claims Team.
Qualifications
- NQ Solicitor or Legal Executive with some exposure to running Clinical Negligence claims with limited supervision.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Clinical Negligence legal principles and a willingness to proactively develop technical expertise and keep up to date with legal developments.
