The role:
As a Backend Services & API Software Engineer you will play an key role in the success and growth of the team and company. Working in a cross-functional agile team along with other developers, you will contribute to a collaborative team environment bringing ideas and improvements to the development process.
You will ensure that quality software is delivered according to specification, while the correct procedures are followed in-line with technical/business objectives and company strategy.
The role is a hybrid one, part-remote & part office-based the details of which can be arranged with your line manager.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Working with the Delivery Manager, Agile BA’s, Cloud Architects and UX Team to build and deliver our cutting edge SaaS products.
- Collaborate with Front-end Developers and Data Engineers to deliver performant and feature-rich API’s and services
- Developing features to enhance the user experience
- Building reusable and maintainable code for future use
- Optimising solutions for maximum speed and scalability
- Maintaining brand consistency and attention to detail throughout design
- Lead by example by producing high quality and robust solutions
- Learn and apply new technology, approaches and best practices and introduce them to the team
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Help and mentor other members of the team
- Be self-managing and help the team self-organise
The Candidate:
We are looking for an experienced Backend Services & API Software Engineer, with great skills in modern cloud-focussed languages and technologies to join our team building the company’s next-generation SaaS product using best practices, development frameworks, cloud technologies and software delivery practices.
Initially working on existing technology stack (.NET Core/Azure/MS SQL) this role will eventually move to working on the new SaaS product.
