Job Title: Mobile Developer – Android and iOS
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £24,000 – £37,500 per annum, depending on experience
Position: Full Time, Permanent (9:00 – 5:30, Monday – Friday)

They are looking for a Mobile Developer with experience in both Android & iOS to play a key role in the development of our flagship software platform.

This is a permanent role, working primarily on the redevelopment of our Android visitor management system running on custom Android based kiosks, and also on an authentication based iOS app that will integrate with our personnel management platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of our Android application, using your experience to ensure that our new platform is developed using best practices
- Work closely with the existing members of the mobile and web development teams, based in Newcastle and Alexandria, Egypt
- Work with customer hardware, including our own touch screen kiosks, RFID readers, temperature scanners, wearable, and more
- Ensure that code is written in a clean and testable fashion
- Contribute to developing coding standards and documentation for a development team that is in a growth phase
Key Requirements:
Essential
- 3+ years experience of Android development, preferably with exposure to Kotlin
- 2+ years experience on iOS development, preferably with Swift
- Experience developing a mobile application that consumes APIs
- Experience of storing data using SQLite
- Good knowledge of securing mobile applications
- Experience of writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Experience using git in a CI/CD environment
- Experience in memory, process management, background services and device control management on devices with root function
- Experience working with custom hardware is a bonus
