The Role
As a Technical Lead you will have the responsibility of providing technical leadership across their development teams. Being experienced in mentoring developers and leading the SCRUM or Agile process you will be focused on delivering value to the business.
The role has no line management responsibilities, but you will be working with your line manager to measure individual and team performance/velocity as you lead the SCRUM/Agile process.
The role requires experience of integrating best in breed applications (SaaS or COTS products), driving project execution, developing engineering talent and driving continual improvements to the functionality and flexibility of the business.
In this role you will be responsible for the system architecture and moving the business to a more integrated architecture.
You will work closely with a wide range of business functions, including the sales team, product managers, experience designers and business leaders and use your hands-on experience with scalable software products in B2B and SaaS to plan and execute features that will transform their business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on stories within existing frameworks, understanding the syntax of the language and how your code affects the software
- Be able to work on complex stories which require changes to base architecture and understand how your changes affect everything else
- Enhancements and bug fixes are consistently delivered as per the acceptance criteria with little re-work
- Provide mentoring to other members of the development teams
- Acting as Scrum Master in the development process, lead the daily SCRUM ensuring the timebox is not exceeded and a good SCRUM practices are kept
- Working with an Enterprise Architect you will developing architectures that deliver on business and technical requirements
- The creation of appropriate document artefacts to meet business requirements
- Assist with hiring and developing individuals in the development teams
- Performance reporting for the development processes
- Engagement and interaction with third party and outsourced development resources.
- Develop CI/CD practices.
- Improve working practices and QA processes
The Candidate:
Essential
- Degree Level Education with at least 2 years’ relevant experience
- ScrumMaster Certified
- At least four years of experience in development roles with project management experience
- At least two years’ experience of as a Scrum master or similar
- At least two years’ experience of developing in an enterprise environment, not product delivery
- Experience of AWS Serverless architectures
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Experience of working in and deploying good SDLC working practices and processes
- Demonstrable understanding of the following technologies and methodologies

- Enterprise Architecture

- TOGAF 9 Foundation
- At least six years of experience in development roles with project management experience
- Experience of AWS/Azure and VMWare environments
- Experience working within a DevOps team
- Experience working within a Managed Service Provider or ISP
- Demonstrable understanding of the following technologies and methodologies

- ServiceNow
