They are looking for someone who can take a brief and get stuck in, who isn’t afraid of picking up the phone, who has great interpersonal skills and can read between the lines. Attention to detail is a must, so if you correct the grammar of your mates and tut at misplaced apostrophes then you’ll fit in well here. They’re looking for someone who hears of a challenge and can’t wait to get stuck in, who knows when to ask for help and when to get on with it, who loves the thrill of winning and achieving, not the thrill of pointless drama. They need someone who loves to learn and will take information and turn it into action, dotting every i and crossing every t. They’re looking for passion in writing, creative thinking, interpreting and suggesting new ways of approaching situations. You’ll need to be someone who’s confident, proactive, smart in a savvy way, and a ‘doer’.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll have to research, content creation, content management, interaction and maintaining Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn profiles in order to increase brand exposure and drive sales for their clients’ services in their target markets. As well as create extended writing pieces, Mailchimp campaigns and newsletters, Facebook advertisements. Having the commercial success of clients at the forefront of every action you undertake on their behalf. Occasionally you’ll have to meet clients to talk through strategy and actions, speaking to them regularly about progress and results. All while representing the company well at all times
Essential skills:
- Experience of running social media accounts for commercial entities
- Impeccable written English skills (Minimum GCSE English B or above, preferably A level English)
- Eloquent telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong academic record
