Job Title: Social Housing Planner

Salary: £23,000 – £27,000 per annum

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be part of our Social Housing division and will be responsible for providing support to our Social Housing Manager in accordance with Sub Regional Allocations Policy and associated procedures.
The successful candidate will be required to work within a challenging environment to provide a first-class service that not only meets the needs of our clients but at the same time achieves efficiencies through the application of an effective and efficient procedure.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate effective communication skills, meet competing deadlines and work within robust and challenging performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure a quick turnaround of void properties and a positive profile for DRC Property Ltd, through effective working relationships, with service providers and internal / external partners.
- Effectively dealing with all maintenance calls, emails and notifications including instructing works, and keeping clients and our Social Housing manager fully informed of issues.
- Assisting in scheduling appointments, raising, and issuing purchase orders.
- Planning operative working activities, responding to an ever-changing environment
- Telephone and email communications with the client/sub-contractors/operatives/residents, ensuring repairs are completed in an efficient manner to the customer’s satisfaction.
- The proactive monitoring of customers’ experience of our service, providing feedback and suggestions on how we can improve.
- Assisting the Social Housing Manager in administrative duties to provide an efficient, high-quality service.
- Assisting the Social Housing Manager with costing and quoting for all works using a pre agreed schedule of rates.
- Assisting the Social Housing Manager in updating our internal systems.
- Assisting the Social Housing Manager in the collation of all relevant paperwork, documents, and information to ensure records are kept up to date.

- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, although full support and training is available if required.
- Ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines.
- Experience of dealing with the public in a service environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet customer needs and business requirements, however we believe it will be during the hours of 8am to 6pm.
- Assisting in scheduling appointments, raising, and issuing purchase orders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Have an excellent attention for detail.
- Have excellent organisation skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in a repairs & maintenance environment.
- Experience of the social housing industry.
- Experience with working with operatives diaries/scheduling day to day or reactive repairs.
- Knowledge of housing, including sheltered properties.
- Experience of dealing with tradespeople.
