The role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated SharePoint Administrator to join our dynamic team and contribute to the effective implementation and maintenance of our SharePoint environment. As a SharePoint Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration and support of our SharePoint platform. You will play a crucial role in managing user access, maintaining site content and ensuring the availability and reliability of our SharePoint services. Your expertise in SharePoint administration and your commitment to delivering high-quality solutions will help South Wales Police enhance our collaboration and knowledge management capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and configure SharePoint farms, including managing user access, permissions and security settings.
- Maintain and optimize SharePoint site collections, subsites, lists, libraries, and content types.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and implement SharePoint solutions to support their needs.
- Design and develop SharePoint workflows, forms, and custom solutions.
- Provide end user training and support, including creating documentation and delivering training sessions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, features and best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Must have a good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level, including Maths and English or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and abilities.
- Must have a full manual UK driving licence
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator, preferably in a large organisation
- Familiarity with SharePoint services, including site creation, permission management and content creation.
- Proficiency in SharePoint design and workflows.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint related issues.
- Knowledge of SharePoint integration with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
