Please Note: The post will be full time 37 hours per week spread equally over five days Monday-Friday but may consider some flexibility, (including part-time – min 3 days, or job share arrangements), subject to service needs and cover.

The Role:
The Council is seeking to appoint a general practice Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and Registered Valuer, to undertake main duties from the following:
- To advise, report and recommend on property matters and values.
- Undertake property management and lease work (mainly commercial) including new leases, renewals, rent reviews, lease management and compliances.
- To negotiate and raise instructions on property transactions and dealings including for sales, purchases, leases, licences, easements, wayleaves and concessions.
- Undertake rental and capital valuations for varied properties and transactional purposes and for insurance, financial planning and especially annual asset valuations and material change reviews across a diverse portfolio.
- Contribute to asset management planning and outputs including options for optimising, re-purposing and rationalising the use of property assets.
- To work and collaborate with others on property-related projects, schemes and themes including options and appraisals.
