About the role:
To advance our growth, the firm is opening a new office in Aberdeen (April 2023!) and we are seeking to recruit Senior and Principal Environmental Consultants-Engineers to join our team and lead our growth in the north-east of Scotland.
Both office and home working options will be available. We are a flexible employer and are willing to consider any arrangement that is desirable to you. You will be provided with all IT equipment and software/services required to facilitate your efficient and flexible working. About you:
Qualifications:
The ideal candidates will possess an Honours or Master’s Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering, the physical sciences, environmental management or similar, and have a have a full U.K. driving licence. Professional chartership(s) with appropriate professional bodies would be viewed favourably.
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience with regards to one or more of the following areas/disciplines, preferably in a consultancy role:
- Environmental compliance, auditing, and training.
- Environmental management systems (or environmental related) e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 50001, etc.
- Environmental permit (e.g., Industrial Emissions Directive, via PPC/EPR/IPC, MCPD, UK ETS) applications and variations.
- Regulatory liaison and negotiation e.g., SEPA, EA, NIEA, NRW, EPA.
- Environmental impact assessment using appropriate tools e.g., D1 Calculations, H1 Software Tool, SCAIL, ADMS.
- Best available technique (BAT) review of plant, equipment, and processes.
The successful candidate will coordinate the delivery of environmental projects in the Aberdeen area, calling upon our internal team of multi-disciplinary engineers, scientists, and consultants. Marketing and business development of relevant projects, proposal preparation and budgeting, and mentoring of less experienced colleagues, as well as technical report preparation will all be key facets of the role.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and position requirements.
